hi I have 2x8 adata spectrix D60g 3200mhz in the box it says they can run CL16-20-20-38 with xmp but since I have a b460 and an i5 10400 the max speed is 2666mhz I did tighten the timings to 14-16-16-35 and found no errors with 1 loop of memtest64 test but I'm worried if that will effect the lifespan of the ram or cause performance issues later?
ps: I didn't touch any voltage settings

Solution
If it does, the RAM will probably be in the dumpster or an electronics recycling facility before it has a chance to matter.

The only thing that's known to affect life span is the temperature of the part over time, and no, tightening timings won't cause it to rise.
