Will Win 7 work on INTEL QUAD I7 4770 , ASUS Z97-P MOTHERBOARD

18” W/500W POWER COOLERMASTER
I'm thinking about getting the above system, I have all of the peripheals needed from a former PC that just died, including the original Windows 7 Ultimate DVD.

I want to install this Windows 7 Ult on the abovenew package, but I've heard word that,
the processor wont allow an install of Windows 7, even though the motherboard specs say it supports Win 7.
Is this correct?

I like the stability of Win 7 and at present not too enamored of Windows 10.

Please advise.

You shouldn't have any issues, how come you dont just opt for Win10?

Yes it will work and Windows 10 will also. You will have to download the drivers either way https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/Z97P/HelpDesk_Download/
