Win 10 PC Crash, Hard Reboot and Log reveal Critical Errors:
(PC Info: CPU AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, RAM 32.0 GB, GPU NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, MB Asrock X570M Pro4, Win 10 64bit.)
Issue Summary:
Frequent Crashes: PC was crashing every few hours.Black Screen Events: Display turned black during PC gaming or streaming YouTube in a web browser, Occasional BSOD.
System Hard Reboots: After the black screen, the system restarted unexpectedly.
Time Frame: Issues experienced between 21/4/2025 to 27/5/2025.
Crash Errors Observed:
WHEA Logger Event ID 18 – Cache Hierarchy Error from Machine Check Exception, indicating a potential CPU or driver instability.Kernel-Power Event ID 41 – Unexpected shutdowns without proper system logging, usually tied to hardware failures or driver conflicts.
Solution's Applied that did NOT fix the Issue:
Bios UpdatedGPU Driver Updated
AMD Chipset Drivers Updated
Windows 10 hotfix KB5061768 didn’t resolve the issue.
Solution Applied that fixed the Issue:
Used Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) from Guru3D.Booted into Windows 10 Safe Mode.
Ran DDU to completely remove the faulty display drivers.
Restarted PC and installed fresh latest GPU drivers.
This fixed the issue 100% in my specific case.
