Win 7 64bit can't access drive?

hi,

i have a Thomson TG782T modem from bigpond (australia) with a usb connection on the side. i can access the drive connected to it from both my xp pro boxes, but not my win7 64bit. i get the following when entering the given address:

'windows cannot access \\192.168.1.253.'

message. diagnose says:

'the remote device or resource won't accept the connection - detected - little yellow triangle with ! mark'

any help gratefully appreciated,

It looks like there is some missing drivers...You can download these on your computer manufacturer site try this out

drivers? for pc or modem?

i'm seeing and connecting to everything else on my network (2 x pc, nas box, etc), so if pc, drivers for what?

problem turned out to be permissions - which a friend set up for me.
