I'm a GTA n00b, so I can't claim any great moments (for any of the series). I have watched Pewdiepie play GTA V a little, and it looks pretty sick! My friends have it & I'd love to play with them, but as of today (tax day in the U.S.), I don't even have two coins to rub together.
I hope the contest is truly random because clearly my story isn't going to win it for me 😉

Loved when Aliens took over the earth and our president fought with them to get back what was ours. Oh wait. Sorry sorry mixed SR

Old sweet gta : vice city , when using cheats and go to the top of the highest building and then simply jump " Amazing " I really want to jump of a buildings but can't do that in real life , expensive or if I go the cheap way it 'll be just one time =D I think I have to wait till work to try jumping , really hope to win and play it " I don't play illegal or cracked games "

The first time I used the wanted level code in GTA 3 to get a tank than used the moon gravity code and the cannon on the tank to shoot my self across the broken bridge is probably my first and favorite GTA memory

I'd like to win a copy of GTA 5 so I'll give it to my friends who want the game.
I already own a copy, and this will be my good act of the day :)

I think my favorite GTA moment was when GTA III came out. I knew about it, but didnt have a copy.

Eventually I had a friend bring it over and we laughed and laughed for hours. That first game really pushed the limits of picking up a prostitute, watching the car bounce up and down, and then killing her to take the money back. THEN we'd spawn tanks and see how long we could survive.

Unfortunately games arent quite that revolutionary anymore. I'd love to play GTA5 and see how much better it is myself vs GTA IV

My favourite moment was playing it at a friends house on Xbox One. We were taking turns trying to get into the airport and steal one of the big jets. It was my friend's turn and he was the first person to get it onto the runway. Just as he hit the gas a jet that was landing rear-ended him.

After we stole a few planes, our goal with the plane was to land it in the army base and steal a jet which we decided, at the time, was impossible. Fun times.

I had for some reason amassed my self a 5 star wanted level in gta 4 single player in the middle of the city. I was searching for some kind of an escape vehicle, suddenly my prayers were answered when i stumbled upon a bus in the equivalent of Manhattan. I quickly jumped into the bus and started reversing as fast as possible. Somehow i managed to lose 5 wanted level stars by reversing a bus for a minute, what a great time.

Favorite thing that happened to pe was few years ago in GTA San Andreas when trying to find a Picador to go to Mount Chilliad...I was roaming the street in a turismo trying to find that sneaky pickup and after I have finally got it, millions of Picador were all over the place.PicaTroll on duty

My favorite time in GTA is the new armored truck, my friend and I went around shooting everything and everyone, it's a beast and pretty hilarious to drive around!

I was an avid gamer, and keen follower of tomshardware until I took my architecture course.
Damn its been hectic, running around building stuff out of brick and concrete(on paper), years of night-outs... And it continues.
I'm doing my third year now, and you guys have no idea about the stress that build up.

I've seen guys take pills, and stuff but my answer to all these... Were GAMES!

Shooting the bad ass guy in his face with two rounds from my double barelled shotgun, There is no better stress buster than that.
Or you just take your bloody chainsaw, and drill your way out of the mess...
I miss those old days of GTA.
Driving around a sports car in a sandbox city, taking out bad guys, being a bad guy, using guns from your arsenal, buying stuff., taking out your girlfriend out for a ride....
Its magical, and it definitely is soothing to live that life, at least in a game.

Time to end this story. What better way to end something than by saying thanks to the great minds who worked behind it.

I thank all the guys at rockstar games, and I've been playing GTA since GTA II, and I loved all the games after that.
Thanks for the wonderful game, and thank you especially for the PC version. Been waiting even since I heard the name.

And thanks to the guys at tomshardware for the give away, as well as providing a safe haven for us tech freaks, or gaming junkie or whatever the others calls us.

Well, honestly I don't have a whole lot of personal experience with the GTA series--I've always enjoyed the idea of it, but never got around to actually playing--except once. Back in the years of the PS2 I managed to get a copy of Vice City from a friend of mine at school that I had to, no shit, hide from my parents. Damn, was it hard but probably the most fun in any sandbox game I ever played at the time.

Really, the best moment I can remember from that time didn't really happen in game though I can blame the game for it anyways. I was staying at my aunt's house in the outer banks, sitting inside playing Vice City. After I entered to required cheats for a good time, I got hit by a car and heard my character say "Yeah, go fuck yourself you wise and beautiful woman!" which confused me. At the time, I had no idea the rudest word of all time was just uttered, and without the world of the internet at my fingertips, I had no way to know what it meant. So...next time my dad and I were talking, I casually threw it at him thinking it was no big thing. Oh dear, the naivety of those days were great--needless to say, he wasn't too pleased. It did get quite a few laughs from my cousins that were nearby after they saw that white face turn fire truck red, though.

Still, I think the most fun I've ever had on Vice City is just playing it without cheats--even though that's ridiculously difficult. On the bright side, I've now got a PS2 and that beautiful game in my hands again, so back to it.

Thanks for the chance, guys--can't wait to test out my (literally) brand new R9 280 on this beautiful game!

One of my favorite things about the series is the radio stations. I hope I win this cause I don't know if I can swing it right now otherwise.

Although I truly enjoyed playing all of the GTA titles so far, my best memory of playing GTA was probably when controllable boats were first introduced to the game in GTA III. I managed to store a Speeder (boat) in one of the garages after hours and hours of trying to get one on the shore and push it along, preventing it from being blown up using the so called 'Gesundheit' cheat every time it started to catch on fire. Finally managed to store a boat in a double garage, to then notice it crashed my game every time I got close to the garage when opening its doors to get access to it. Boats were apparently not meant to be stored which made me laugh. Loved trying to accomplish the seemingly impossible and still do!

My favorite moment I've had playing online is when we had one of the helicopters that can hook up cars below it (sue me, haven't played the game in forever and can't remember the name of the helicopter). We took the helicopter, found 5 tow trucks, and hooked them all together. We then started releasing each other at inopportune times for maximum hilarity. Honestly need to try doing that again, and aiming for tall buildings with the tow trucks. I'd love to own this game again, since I lost my last copy due to need of money.

I was playing GTA 4 the other day just going through the story. I was on the mission where I had to go to a Lawyer’s office for an interview before 12 pm so I could steal evidence and then murder him. As I was driving in my awesome pure black Dukes Car i get a phone car from Roman's girlfriend Mallorie about him possible getting kidnapped by the Russian Mafia or whatever. I look at the time and it was around 9:30 and I was like "Crap, I don't know if I can make the interview and save Roman". Then I was all like "screw it, I can make it!” I then proceeded to drive as fast I can to the location they were supposedly holding Roman. As I was driving nothing else matter besides Roman. I was crashing into almost every car I passed. At one intersection I even T boned a cop car and flipped it several times. I guess the game decided that it was awesome since it didn't even give me a Wanted Star and I didn't even car either way. At one point I even was air born and nicked a car that was under me which proceeded to make me flip in midair several times. Amazingly I landed on upright with my car still running. Eventually, I reached my destination and I was so pumped for this with my loud music playing that I could take on the world. In the end I died during the mission, but the trip there was one of a kind.

Good luck everyone. My favorite memory from GTA is sitting in a room with a few of my friends and seeing who could last the longest when getting 5 stars in wanted level and trying to steal tanks!

Been playing GTA from the very start, always found it to be a pretty amazing game.... until the newer versions came along that is 😀
Played GTA V on the xbox one for quite some time now but im building a high end PC in a week or so, just waiting on some of the parts to be delivered and having GTA V ready to install on it would just be amazing!

Always fun to get a few friends into a lobby and go on a cop killing spree seeing how long we can last and then to see if we can all lose the 5 star afterwards which has been proven difficult at times haha.

At my cousins house he has GTA 5 for Xbox 360. My cousin and I got on a train shooting up the police and one of the police cars jumped onto one of the carts of the train and got stuck in it.

Epic moment was epic.

I remember playing GTA for the first time at a friend's house. It was GTA 2 and I had never experienced anything like it. The overhead viewpoint was weird, the controls were new to me and felt clumsy. It all required so much hand-eye coordination. I remember it being a frustrating experience, one that I actually didn't like much, but the game was so enthralling that I ended playing for hours. I just couldn't let it go. I got the hang of getting and driving cars around first, and then, I found the burp button, and the fun hasn't stopped since.
