<font color=blue>I was looking at the OS's of choice for SETI here and I noticed WIN NT 5.0 <i>and</i> 5.1. I thought Win 2000 was NT 5.0. What about the 5.1? What is this? Is there a Win NT 5.1 released as such?

There is no Winnt 5.0 and 5.1, they changed it's name mid-course to Windows 2000. But when runned on Windows 2000, some utilities can return Winnt 5.0 as the operating system version.

It's better to be rich and healthy than poor and sick!

<font color=blue>Like I said "I thought Win 2000 was NT 5.0."

My question stands - What is NT 5.1?

I am referncing berkely's <A HREF="http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/stats/oss.html" target="_new">SETI at home website</A>. They indicate the following on their list of operating systems used:
<font color=black>
#2) Windows NT: 4.0 74107497 137465.329 years 16 hr 14 min 57.5 sec
#3) Windows NT: 5.0 37165598 55642.462 years 13 hr 06 min 54.1 sec
#27) Windows NT: 5.1 240475 339.361 years 12 hr 21 min 44.0 sec
<font color=blue>That's a quarter of a million people using Win NT 5.1. It obviously exists - what is it!?

<font color=blue>You know - I bet you are right. Although 250,000+ seems like a lot, I heard there were over a 100,000 downloads of it. And, those would be the type of people to run SETI.
