Win XP with Dell Dimension XPS T600r

I am considering upgrading (dual boot) my Dell 600 mHz machine to run XP. Has anyone had success with a machine this old or will it run ok (512k). I have an ATA 100 Controller Card and 100 HD

I upgraded a XPS-T 700R with 265 MB RAM. I had some trouble getting the setup program to run but after copying the I386 folder to my C drive and running setup from there, I had no problems. BEFORE you do upgrade, go to every hardware site for your PC and look for XP drivers. Try to stash them someplace that the install won't crap over. After XP is installed, load the drivers one by one, rebooting after each install. If the new driver craps out, go back to previous version and move on.

it works...but why dual boot? just choose 1 and use it.
