Hey folks,

I have 2 windows 7 laptops at home and for whatever reason they both 'connected' to my home WIFI without issue but there is 'limited access'. This made me crazy. Every other system works in my house. The LAN interface works fine. If you do an IPCONFIG you will see no IP address, GW, and Mask. Basically what I have learned is that the DHCP process is hosed and have yet to figure out why, but as a workaround you can go configure a static IP address etc on that WIFI interface and at least it will get you back up and running. There are a tonne of tips out there, but none really pinpoint the problem. This will get you working again until sometime when Microsoft might actually fix their DHCP bugs!

I had this same problem 2 days ago. Internet on laptop would say connected but "limited access".

I deleted the saved wireless network information on the computer, reconnected to the network and input password. Started working again after that.
