Windows 10 always fails boot ONCE

I recently installed Windows 10 on my Lenovo Z710 on a new SSD I installed in the former optical drive bay.Ever since installing, I've been having a bizarre problem when I try to boot. It'll begin to boot, the blue Windows 10 logo shows up, and then my laptop shuts off. I press the power button again, and only on this second time, Windows boots successfully. This happens on every single boot, and only when I do a hard shut-down (no issues with hibernate).

Any ideas what might be causing this? I'm pretty tech savvy, but this has really confused me

Try and see if running sfc / scannow fixes the issue.

Likewise you've made sure that you've downloaded and installed all the drivers available from Lenovo's support page?

Looking through the driver downloads page I caught sight of a Nvidia drivers download, does your unit have a Nvidia GPU on board? If so, Nvidia's GPU drivers have been responsible for pretty much of Windows 10 hiccups. Try doing a clean gpu drivers install after you've downloaded the appropriate drivers from here.
