Hi all. thankyou for taking the time to read this and hopefully being able to point me in the right direction to repair.
System:
Windows10.pro 64
Cpu 2011-3930k
mobo: asrock extreme6
Ram. 16gb gskill ripjaws 2133.. quad channel
gfx. 2xMSI 7970HD crossfire
Primary hdd. samsung 840pro 256GB
psu, ocz1200w/evga 1000w both been in system and both work

Ok on Friday i started my pc and was greeted by BSOD, message read windows has encountered an issue. compiling info and will restart, this became a never ending loop.
In frustration I bit the bullet and decided to do fresh install of win10.
Since the install windows will boot, i can go online briefly and download drivers etc.
I can install chipset drivers no issue but if i attempt to install any other driver the machine will Freeze and only option is to do a hard restart (hold power button). i managed to get hw monitor to run and all voltages and temps are fine and well under any high temp zones, approx 40C.
I pulled down pc and gave a good cleanout reset all cards etc,
I decided to swap out PSU and the same issue still remains.
DR Debug on mobo shows no codes
i ran memtest for about 2 hours and it had no errors.
Ive tried to run ubuntu from usb but it fails to run, pc freezes.
I am at a dead end and before I start throwing money at it I was hoping somebody here may be able to point me in the right direction.

Try and perform a sfc / scannow and see what happens. On a side note have you tried installing windows 10 while running only 1 GPU and having only the drives that you want to install OS on? Was your prior run in with Windows 10 a clean install or an upgrade path?

Are you sure your copy of Windows 10 on your bootable USB media isn't corrupt? To rule that out create a new bootable USB installer courtesy of Microsoft's Media Creation Tool. Use the rear USB 2.0 ports for your installation and not the Front Panel ports.

Mind you, have you performed a BIOS update prior to moving onto new OS platform? I also have a feeling your Broadcom Ethernet ports(and their associated drivers) are the cause of the...

Download your drivers on a USB drive and install them without the internet while you boot into Windows.
