I haven't used my PC for gaming purposes for a while. A few days ago, I tried playing League of Legends and only got < 10FPS. Eventually found out Windows couldn't find my Nvidia Gigabyte GTX 770.

Device manager only sees Microsoft Basic Display Adapter as a GPU. When trying to install the drivers for the GTX 770 I receive a bluescreen with the stop code: System_thread_exception_not_handled. This happens when installing the drivers via Windows and via Nvidia's website. I've tried plugging in the GPU physically again, didn't help it. Deleting drivers worked, but reinstalling again doesn't work.

Somehow a third party program called "Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU)" recognises the GTX 770 as the GPU, but only there and nowhere else, not even the BIOS.

The solution might be hardware or software related, recently I updated to windows 10, since then I haven't used my PC a lot - Windows 10 might be causing the problem, however it could be before or after the update.

Any potential solutions are greatly appreciated
King regards,
David
