Windows 10 desktop background uses different colours to original image?

I created an image to use as my desktop background, but when I set it to the background the colours are different.

To show what I mean, here is an image:

my image is on the right and the background is on the left.

Does anyone know what causes this or how to rectify it? I have tried both png and wbmap file-types and they both result in the same outcome.

Looks like a scaling issue, I do not see a color difference...

Fit, Fill, Stretch, Center, Tile, Span... Which are you using?

I'm using centre, but changing it has no affect on the colours.

When you open YOUR image do you use photo viewer or the program you created it with? How about the format when you save it? maybe you saved it in like a Jpeg with lower quality the the one you open is the original saved in a higher rate... quality.

Maybe something simple like that.
