This entire thing is idiotic. Windows always (going back to Windows 3.1) had a theme editor where you could simply set up an OS-wide color scheme you liked, and all applications would inherit it because they drew their UI elements in the colors that the system dictated for them.

WTF happened? Sometime around Vista or Windows 8, the whole theme editor just disappeared. What an idiotic regression, just in time for everyone to realize that the inverse color theme that OSes have been pushing for the last 30 years is stupid.

Vista definitely still had it. The Classic theme was removed in Win8
 
Oh GODDAMMITSOMUCH I thought 'light mode' meant WITHOUT THE BLOAT, like the old Pro or Enterprise installs. -.-

Even Win10 LTSB is full of garbage I don;t want/need now.

And I actually thought they made a Lite edition for windows aka without 90+% junk.

Guess Windows 7 Lite that has only a CD's space needed for the kit is still the best clean option atm, except server versions of course.
