Hello,

I have bought a new PC but i'm stuck during the install of windows 10.
I put the windows 10 CD in my CD reader, the PC turn on without any problems however it don't regognize my new SSD samsung 850 evo during the install of windows.

It seems that the SSD need the drivers but how install the drivers with the CD while there is the CD of windows 10 in my CD reader already?

Can remove the CD of windows 10 during the install to install the drivers?
Should i install the drivers before starting to install windows 10?

I'm stuck >< thanks in advance.

On windows 10, when you get to the page during the windows setup where it asks you where you want to install windows too, or what hard drive.

Down to the bottom left is the option to add a driver.
Click on it.

Remove the windows setup dvd disk from the dvd drive.
and place the dvd disk that came with the motherboard in the dvd drive.

Select the browse option box that should appear, when you have clicked on the add driver option.
Select the dvd drive, and navigate to the folder for Sata drivers.
Click inside the folder and select the file that is displayed and click ok.

It will install the Sata drivers for the Sata chip set of the motherboard.
The main window on windows setup will then refresh showing the Samsung 850 evo ssd drive.

Now take out the motherboard driver disk from the dvd drive, and insert the windows install and setup dvd once again.
Wait a few seconds for the dvd drive to read the disk.

Hi light or select the Samsung SSD drive, then simply click next on the windows setup page Donrobot22.

Or for a much more simple solution.
Before you run windows setup and install from dvd disk.

Enter the bios of your motherboard and change the mode of the sata ports to AHCI mode.

Save the changes to the bios before you exit it.
Then run the windows 10 setup and install dvd and the Samsung drive will then be displayed in the drive list of devices you can select to install windows to when it gets to the point of asking where or what drive you wish windows to be installed on.

NB: make sure you have the Sata data cable connected from the drive to a sata port of the motherboard, and that power is also connected to the SSD drive via a sata power connector of your PSU in the system.

Hey Shaun, thank you very much for your answer.
I took the first method, i removed the w10 dvd disk and i added the dvd disk of the motherboard.
When i click on "Browse files" i have "Boot" "Chipset" "Utility" "other" which folder contain the drivers?

I tried the 2nd method, the mode of the sata ports was in AHCI mode already.
The SSD isn't detected again.

For the first method i think the driver is in "utility" but there some much fold, i don't know which one i need.
