Hello

I have currently updated my Windows 7 Sony VAIO laptop to Windows 10. However, every time I boot my laptop, I get this message:

"The battery may not be properly connected to the computer or may not be compatible with the computer.
Click "OK" to enter Hibernate mode, and remove and replace the battery.
See the SONY VAIO User Guide for more information about the battery."

I have already tried taking out the battery pack and reinserting it, but this does not resolve my problem.

Currently, there is a temporary solution where I go into task manager and end this process called ISB Utility, but I had to do this every single time I turn my laptop on!

Does anyone know of a permanent solution?

Thank you!

Solution
Hello,

You can disable the ISB utility

1. Click on Start, type ‘msconfig’ > Select System Configuration, and then select the ‘Startup Tab’,
2. Deselect the "ISB Utility" from the startup.
3. Restart the computer.

Hope this helps.
