Hello, I want to install W10 on my new pc, with a hdd form an old build, but when I want to install W10 form a USB, it cant be installed on my hdd, bc it is formatted in MBR. I need to format it to GPT to install it, says windows, but if I do that, all my files are gone. There are 1,3 tb of files on it so i cant copy it to another drive bc i dont have that. How can I install it on my hdd without wiping all my files?
Thanks in advance!

what motherboard do you have?

You should be able to set to Boot method to legacy only and then windows won't throw the GPT error at you, then you simply delete the C partition like you would on win 7 and install win 10 to that unallocated space. It will set it up as MBR.
