so on the windows site it states this
"Wi-Fi Direct Printing requires a Wi-Fi adapter that supports Wi-Fi Direct and a device that supports Wi-Fi Direct Printing."

im currently on win 7 (reserved my copy a few months ago but havent been asked to upgrade yet...is that bad?) anyways...i have a HP 4500 printer that uses my wireless router to connect to my network and connect to the computers and devices in my house. im able to print from my computer that is connected to the router with an ethernet cable. will upgrading to win 10 eliminate my ability to print from within my network, wirelessly to my printer??

thanks for the help.

Solution
"I have a HP 4500 printer that uses my wireless router..."

Then you are not using WiFi direct.

"HP wireless direct and Wi-Fi Direct are features that allow your Wi-Fi capable devices (for example: smart phones, tablets, or computers) to make a wireless network connection directly to your printer without using a wireless router or access point."

Basically your good.
