[SOLVED] Windows 10 RAM problems - of 8GB installed, 3,6GB available

Hello to anyone taking the time to read this,

ive acquired a new HP laptop and installed Windows 10 Pro on it. The problem is the RAM.

There is 8GB of DDR4 RAM installed, but 2,1GB hardware reserved and 2,3GB constantly IN USE.
After all those schenenigans im left with 3,6GB to use, so sad.

Ive tried mdsched, didnt help.
Tried changing things in the registry editor - in Memory Management and the Sysmain and in the NDU, nothing helped.
The BIOS is up to date.
Tried setting to Best Performance, didnt do a thing.


Any ideas what to try next?

A portion of your memory is likely set aside as memory for your integrated video adapter. This amount may be adjustable in your BIOS.

2 gig of hardware reserverd is probably for the on processor Vega Graphics.
Which leaves you 6gig of available memory in windows.
Almost 3g is in use by windows. Which could reduce if needed.
1.815g is preloaded programs/data you use most. It can be used for something else at any time.
Which leaves you 1222 free or 3037 free if needed .

With all that said you need more ram ,and 2 sticks of it.
Dual channel memory will give the processor and Vega graphics 15% to 30% performance improvements.
