So I know this is probably some standard thing I have missed. I just built a computer for the first time ever, super proud of it! I’ll post the specs last. I installed the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool onto a 32GB Flash drive, which was installed on my laptop. When I plugged it (USB 3) into my new pc, it took me through the setup, I clicked on I don’t have an activation key because I have not purchased one yet, it started the install for W10 a home, but now is stuck on “finishing” been this way for an hour now. I don’t have a WiFi signal receiver or anything hooked up, my MOBO has built in WiFi. I don’t know what I did wrong, or what I should do?

specs:

i7 9700K
RTX 2060 Super
Corsair 750X Watt PSU
32GB RAM
Corsair H100i Liquid Cooling System
darkFlash Phantom Mid-Tower Case

It sounds like your hdd/ssd is not booting. What type of drive are you using make/model? You may want to check your bios, make sure it setup to boot your drive (ie make sure secure boot is disabled).
I’m using a SANDISK 240GB SSD. I went into BIOS and made sure it was booting from the SSD, it took me through the entire windows 10 setup hello etc etc, asking me which I want to download (I chose windows 10 home), and then the mouse cursor freezes and it appears to be stuck on downloading the files

Solution
Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but it sounds like you are trying to use the MS Media Creation Tool to install Windows rather than using it to create a media for installing windows. The MCT, need to be used with a working computer to create a media for installing. Check out this link on how to create an install media https://forums.tomshardware.com/faq/how-to-do-a-clean-installation-of-windows-10.3170366/
I went through that, downloading the windows install onto the flash drive. I may have to boot into BIOS and make sure it’s set to that specific boot option it said? Like I said I’m not savvy with W10 at all so this is all new to me.
