Question Windows 10 slow start - Hanging on Asus screen

Hello all,

I have a PC with Windows 10 - I was sick and tired of the time the PC took to boot up. As the title mentioned, when the PC is powered on, it hangs on the Asus screen with the dots circling around for about 2 mins, then arrived pretty much on the login screen.

Any ideas, or is there a log that can be studied to work out what's causing the delay?

The PC is self-build and has the following setup:

• SSD M3 Drive where windows is installed
• 32 Gb of ram
• Intel i7-10700k
• Asus Z490-A motherboard

It's 400Gb free of 1tb
How can i check temp in bios?
I've seen in some other forum online that there is a tool for analyzing the start up, you know what is it?

If you activate task manager/startup tab/ you can see what apps are enabled at startup.
Also, the time in bios is in the upper right. FWIW. mine is 15.3 seconds.

Activating fast boot will restore the last successful boot more quickly.

It's all deactivated
I tried to allow fast boot but the time didn't change
Still around 2 min

But in the tab of start up it says 19sec

Do you really need the top three started initially, or, at all?
Java/riot/blitz/??

Try disabling them and see what happens.

Look through the bios for stuff you have enabled but are not using....wi/fi...bt?

Unplug the OS disk see how long it takes for the bios to show no boot device.

reset the bios to defaults, disable the asus auto overclocking, disable the asus tools that insert drivers from the bios and reboot and retest for problem. do not allow the bios to update from the asus website automatically ((3) 30 second timeouts if it can not connect)

Itìs hard to do so cause it's installe on M3 on the motherboard
As i written before there isn't any tool for understand where the problem is?

I never update the bios cause i had this problem since a long time i was scared to do so cause of the instability of the system.

your motherboard came out in 2020, you should update the bios and install current drivers from the motherboard vendor. the drivers need to match the bios version for the various fixes.
if you update the drivers without updating the bios you will have various problems.

i suggested reset the bios to default for the case where the asus bios is doing automatic overclocking and installing drivers from the bios. (bad idea)

updating a modern motherboard bios is pretty easy today.
