This morning I booted up my laptop and it's asking for a PIN but I never set one. There is no option to use my password and "I forgot my PIN" doesn't seem to do anything, it looks like it's loading and then it just shows the PIN screen again. I've tried checking system files in cmd but I don't think anything happened because I'm not fully signed in. I don't know what to do to fix this. I use this PC for work so I don't want to reinstall Windows. Is there anything I can do to get through this? Is there, like, a default PIN I can try? I don't know why this happened...

There is an option in Settings/Accounts/Sign-in
"Only allow Windows Helo sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device".
You have to turn this setting off for password authentication to be available.

May be you can log in with a different account and change this setting.
Or may be you can load into windows safe mode.
Or may be you can perform System restore to time before this setting was changed.
