Hello,
I'm struggling to install Windows 10 via USB. The installation seems to halt on 'setup is starting' screen. I've had no luck after trying multiple USBs (2.0, 3.0), with different prepare methods.
On a Windows 11 machine using 'MediaCreationTool_22H2.exe', I've fetched a Windows 10 image and tried installing directly to USB and also tried creating a ISO which I've used both Refus and Daemon Tools to prepare onto a USB device, without luck.
I've headed in the GA-H110M-S2H BIOS and it's up-to-date to the latest BIOS update. I recall it being problematic in the past, too. The board was released around 2015/16. A very long time ago, I had a CD ROM with a utility which allowed motherboards to boot via USB if they didn't have this feature, but I've since lost that disc.
That disc was more for very old motherboards, however. I've never done a 'network install', either.
How long should one wait on the 'Setup is starting' screen? I can still access CMD through [Shift] + F10.
One guide suggested using DISKPART and going from there, but it just freezes up, not allowing me to enter the next CMD commands.
Any other suggestions you suggest?
