I just retired a 6th gen Intel laptop because of the Win 11 minimum requirements. Good news is that laptops have gotten cheaper. A 16GB RAM laptop with a 1TB NVMe SSD was under $700 at Christmas time. One thing to be aware of. Most laptops have removed the wired ethernet port. So a USB ethernet adapter can be required for wired connectivity.
