Discussion Windows 7 computer start up apps?

I added a printer and scanner and now when I turn on the computer it is loaded in the system stray area and I cannot make it go away or stop it from staring when I log into windows.

Document capture pro


It also installed a program called ArSoft Scan-Sitch Delux that starts when I log into windows and wants me to register with them. I have no idea what ArSoft is and I don't know if it should be uninstalled or not, but it well should not be in the system tray area and starting at login.

Also ArcSoft Connect is there

And ArcSoft is in the system tray. Not sure what ArcSoft is at all.

I have no idea what ArcSoft is at all. I think it got loaded when I installed the scanner and printer.

Check msconfig - startup tab. It will list all start up items.

Well looking at my msconfig here is screenshot. Not sure what synaptics pointing device is or Intel list there and some of the others on the list.

Disable everything related to Epson and Arcsoft.
Check "Command" column.

Synaptics Pointing device is probably touchpad for your laptop.
