Sounds like they're at least taking a step in the right direction by not default-installing things most people will never use.

Now all they need is a built-in disk imaging tool so you can save your good configuration for when you have to re-install 😉

That’s a nice first post...

And by the way, who said anything about un deleting anything. I was referring to recovering anything once deleted. Not in the trash can. In older versions of Mac OS (Unix versions, before the Linux version called OSX), Unix would immediately overwrite anything you just deleted. It would convert the blocks into empty space ("1"'s or "0"s depending who the manufacturer was) instead of just removing the pointer (which Microsoft did from the beginning). Maybe your fanboyism got in the way, and you are clouding the issue with the hopes and dreams of Stevie Jobs for people not to remember how Mac OS # was before OSX.

Oh, why is it only on Apples 10.5 try at an OS are they finally getting somewhere when Microsoft is only on their 6th version and is still ahead of them (windows being ahead of OSX is my opinion, as I use both and prefer Vista over OSX. Functionality is more important to me than shinny, flashy effects)?

Here ya go!

It's like Microsoft is trying to push people into linux or OSX. One day, they'll publish/release real games for OSX and linux and it'll be game over for Windows. At least for my PC's at home. Once Samba takes a few steps forward it'll happen in the business sector also.

that's my 1 cent.

Not going to happen. Microsoft is probably having some talks with SONY to exchange license of Blu-ray to DX11. They now not just big in gaming industry. They are the gaming industry. They are the standard of this industry.

You probably don't know what Microsoft can offer on enterprise and business level. That's why US military, all four branches, use Microsoft products. Linux has its use in engineering, programming, testing, scientific community and hardware control, while Macs appeal to people more into popularity contest.

I eagerly await 7 but; I would like to see MSoft drop the 32-bit OS versions and force software devs and hardware manufactures to fully support and develop 64-bit. A lot of us have had 64-bit capable machines since '03 and it is time to leave 32-bit behind us. If we are going to deal with computability problems like in Vista, we might as well take the next step forward with 64-bit. I wanna see what can be done with 8GB+ of RAM :)

[citation][nom]eklipz330[/nom]wait wait, JUNE 3RD?!?!?! wth i was planning on buying vista x64, but incentive just went down the drain.... i guess i should wait, right? [/citation]

Yes. You should wait at least a year from Win7 release date and let others to be testing mouse. Given the record of M$, I'd wait for a year before adopting any of their new software.
