Windows 7 not supported by motherboard?!

I have an ASUS P5K Delux w/ wifi and I just upgraded to Windows 7 from xp and went to install all the drivers from the cds and the motherboard ones aren't compatible with windows 7?! How will this affect my computers performance and how important are thoes drivers?

never use the cd that comes with motherboards, pci cards, etc.

download the latest from their website.

I downloaded the latest one form their website and still same problem

For old-enough (but not ancient) HW MS has the required drivers in Win7. They may not be the latest, but apart from GPU and sound drivers, the "lost" performance is minor. At least for Intel chipsets. So unless Win7 does not install any driver, you should not bother. As for the CD, it was produced while Win7 was a rumor.

Yea there is only 1 set of chipset drivers, but idk wut the difference WITH the drivers would even be the comp has been working fine all day(Just put win 7 on yesterday night)

If there are no chipset drivers for Windows 7, they are not needed. I have seen a few systems like that.
