[citation][nom]zerapio[/nom]LATTEH, it's not the same one you buy at the store. There will be (minor) changes and critical bug fixes between this version and the one sold at stores or Released to Manufacturers (RTM). Pre-release versions such as this usually expire after a certain date so that prevents you from using a free copy of Win7.[/citation]

thanks XD

[citation][nom]computabug[/nom]Does anyone else think there's too much gamma in the logo up there? I know totally off topic... but just bugs me XD[/citation]
No, I don't think there is to much gamma. There is to much gamma.

[citation][nom]tester3000[/nom]I'd go with Windows 7 RC. I just feel that linux doesn't have a firm place in the market as a primary OS. You will miss some things from Windows 7[/citation]

agreed. nuff said

[citation][nom]thedipper[/nom]Win7 has some really nice window organization (for people with larger monitors mostly), but no multiple desktops yet Windows is a little too mainstream, we'd hear too much "I pressed the desktop2 button where did everything go!?!?!"[/citation]
It could be a power toy. 😀. Theres a multi desktop power toy for Windows XP and Vista, although it's not very good. 😀

tbh I would be using Ubuntu as my main operating system if it weren't for the lack of games and software that I've come to depend on :)

[citation][nom]computabug[/nom]Yea, if there weren't so many idiots out there using windows, all games would be made for linux, and would run much more efficiently on liux.[/citation]
You're the reason people don't like linux.

Windows isn't an OS for idiots, and it does very well for the various demographics that use it. Could a Linux Distro do better? In some cases, but the issue is the difficulty can spike really high at at certain ,although infrequent, points, and most of the difficulty is right at the beginning with the install of the OS and Drivers.

I agree.
Even installing programs that aren't on the package list is a huge chore.

^Agreed. That was my biggest turn off when i first started learning linux.

If you aren't very computer literate you are going to have a much harder time on linux then you do on windows, that just the nature of it.

Well, that kind of depends on what you're doing. Beyond the initial difficulties, I found Ubuntu to be easier to use than Windows for most things 95% of the time, the issue is the 5% where the difficult spikes really high.

[citation][nom]Tindytim[/nom]Both! I'll be building a new rig in sometime and that will be my setup.Really? If I could only go with one (I hope I never have to though) I'd with Ubuntu.[/citation]

... go both!!! Windows 7 and Ubuntu with WUBI....

so iam a little confused. so if i download this on my new hard drive, then later install the rtm version, will i lose all of my stuff i had with the rc version?
