Windows 7 shoutdown hdmi cable belkin troubleshoot

Hello,

I bought a belkin hdmi cable to connect my Hp dv9700 series computer to my polaroid hdtv ... when I connect them, the computer shuts down ....
if I restart with cable connected and tv/monitor off, the cptr starts fine but when I power up the tv, the cptr goes in shutdown/dump mode

You will want a HDMI v1.4 or above cable. Or shop for a Hi-Speed HDMI type cable.

Also, you can go into you TV's setup menu and disable the "networking" feature or "passthru" feature. Your TV set is trying to establish a link where none exist.
