Windows 7 to 10 update.

So I downloaded the .exe from MS's site do upgrade to 10 but it's been stuck on the getting update screen @ 0% for like 2 hours by now. This is the third time I'm trying this..

Any solutions/ideias or is this normal?

Instead of letting MS do it i downloaded the bootable drive and booted it myself

Probably not normal. Microsoft has an awful track record for getting updates to work correctly.

That being said, are you SURE you even want to do this... Windows 10 is pretty awful. I guess other than the privacy issues that is just my opinion.

Windows 10 is a vast improvement over win 7 IMO.

Download the full install package instead & upgrade from there .

Before you started.. did you remember to DISABLE or turn off or exit all misc. background programs?
