Windows 8.1 preview - Windows 8 pro?

If i instal windows 8.1 preview onto my computer that has no operating system, can I upgrade 8.1 preview to windows 8 pro?

Win-8 goes first & activate, then win-8.1 preview. Win-8.1 (final) comes out on OCT 17th.

You can try, If it fails for any reason it will just restore to your starting point. No harm.

Yes. it also said a lot of other things like "This is a preview" and "If you decide that you want to install Windows 8.1 Preview using the ISO, you won't be able to uninstall it. If you decide to go back to your previous operating system, you'll need to reinstall it using the recovery or installation media that came with your PC, which is typically DVD media."

Moving from the Preview will almost certainly entail a new install.
Moving from Win8 to Win 8.1 will (supposedly) be a free, easy upgrade,

Best bet would be to wait until Windows 8.1 comes out and it is not long now. It will be free update if you are already using Windows 8.
