Windows 8 Boot Disc is not booting.

Hello,

I recently bought an SSD, and want to install Windows 8.1 onto it. I have the disc (I've had it for a while) and I know it *should* work. I've set both the default boot device and the first boot device to the CD drive (L in my case) in the UEFI setup for my motherboard (ASRock Z170 Pro4s), but when I turn the PC on, the disk drive seems to spin up for a second, but then it just boots from my HDD.

Any help is appreciated.

there may be a option in bios to force boot from the DVD. also try booting with and without UEFI enabled. (if its an option)
