Windows 8 pc stuck in blue screen boot loop. Please help!

I recently built a PC and all was running smooth until i upgraded to win 8. I started to get random blue screen errors and checked everything i knew to check. I decided to run Driver Verifier and my PC got stuck in an endless loop of blue screen errors. I cannot get into safe mode to stop Driver Verifier. Please help!!!

I tried this but nothing happened. Would putting the win 8 disk in do anything?

im sure it will boot but i dont think the windows 8 dvd will actually run any recovery tools. you have to create a recovery dvd/usb from inside windows first.

At this point i might just try and re-install win 8.

At this point i might just try and re-install win 8.

i find that upgrades in any OS will inherit any issues from the previous OS and add some random and strange issues into the mix.

if you have a spare HDD, install to that first, at least you then stand a chance of backing up important data before wiping the drive.

if you have a spare HDD, install to that first, at least you then stand a chance of backing up important data before wiping the drive.

i chose the advanced option, it said it will do a clean install and put all the old data in a folder called windows.old. Do you think that would take the problems with it?

in that case, removing both partitions and starting from scratch would have been better, still, not worth starting the setup process over again, just delete the old windows folder when/if windows boots

Win 8 re-install worked, i'm installing the drivers now. :]

Windows 8 re installed and running smoothly, so far no problems and all drivers are installed. I'm posting this from the PC that had the problem. Thanks for all the help!

remove the windows. old its pretty much old junk that consumes space .. since you had windows 8 i think you could have just refreshed pc to factory in the settings after botting using usb be seems like you reinstalled so nvm GL

Hi.did you try the repair option with windows 8.1?
You can go to system restore with the windows 8.1 dvd.
