I guess I would call myself an early adapter. I've been running WIN8 since it came out, and have the 8.1 preview running now. My biggest peeve is I can't play a blue-ray on WIn8 without add-on software. Otherwise after a brief adaption period (a good day or 2) I am as productive as I ever was with Win7.
 
Windows 8 is highly unstable with Intel Graphics Nightmare even.. Not sure why DirectX can't detect your GPU in 8.1 the games slow to a crawl. Massive dropped frame rates it's a nightmare. I would say stick with 8 and not do the 8.1 upgrade if you are already running 8. Until they release 8,6 or something as they are long off from perfection.
