it seems that you can't read anything about windows 8 without having people complain about the start button. Nobody seems to mention that everything that is accessible through the beloved start button seems to be found under "all apps" in win 8 All apps is a continueous side scrolling page that seems to have everything. Finding things in all apps seems faster than the start button. Microsoft needs to put out an ad. No start button????? No problem (while showing all apps) 2 steps instead of 6 or 7 seems like it might be faster. I didn't like windows 8 at first either, but I am a quick learner. Slower learners may want to wait until service pack 2. Am I putting windows 8 on my 3 machines at home? No, but it is not because of a start button. I will stick with windows 7 because they are asking me to pay for media center. With no MCE improvements they have zero chance of me upgrading. If you are not going to upgrade, you should have a good reason. MCE, tiles scare me, and I am cheap are better reasons than the lack of the start button.
Danny, you have a good suggestion for win 8. They also need a sleep, shut down, and restart button, that is quick to get to.
