I have XP Pro and now my windows mwdia will not play videos from web sites.
Even in MSN the videos don't work. I have realplayer and it works fine but
some sights won't allow realnetwoks. The Medic a player 10 plays when using
videos from my computer or disk so I know it's operating. I downloaded direct
x, defragged, cleaned the disk and deleted and reinstalled media 10. Any
other suggestions

Hi,

When you have 2 players only one of them will be registered as the default
player.

Go to Explorer. click on tools | Folder options.
click on file types.
then scroll down till u see the .mpeg, .mpg, .avi, and all media extensions.
see what do they open with. it might be either real player or windows media
player. choose one as the default player for all types.
