I've installed Windows Messenger 5.1 and it loads and
starts when XP starts, but there is no ICON in the system
tray. Is this a known bug or is there a work-around?

Thanks,

Have you expanded out the systray? It could be hiding the icon(s).
Generally it should not be hiding the systray icon, but I have seen where it
does hide the icon.

If you open the applicaiton and background it does it then place the icon in
the systray?
