On my parents' computer that I have build them, there has recently been an odd error message when rebooting. For a few months now, no matter how you reboot the computer, before windows loads, there is an error message from the BIOS that the computer was not powered off correctly. It then gives two options to select. One is to go to setup and the other is load default settings.
The computer is pretty old by computer standards. Pretty much all I do is whenever I upgrade my PC, I transfer whatever I updated into theirs. They don't use it for much besides internet so it's still an upgrade for them.
My thought is that it's something with the power supply. I have a tester and the voltage tests out OK. I am not too worried about the cost of a PSU, but before I buy one I figured I would see if anyone on here has any suggestions. I realize it could be other issues as well.
Thanks
