I just bought this bundle and upgraded my pc

I installed everything and I noticed windows is loading slower than before I upgraded. It used to take seconds for windows to load up. This new setup taking 30 seconds to a minute. I know it’s not the end of the world. But just bothering me how much faster it used to be. Anyone have any ideas what it could be ? I’d appreciate any help. Also my SSD is Samsung 860 Evo.

I also was going to buy this bundle instead

https://www.microcenter.com/product...ill-32gb-ddr5-6000-kit,-computer-build-bundle

But I been using AMD for 10+ years. Wasn’t sure which to go with.

Thank you!!

So you recycled your proper system's OS drive, correct? If so you will need to reinstall the OS after the platform migration.

BIOS version for your current/new motherboard at this moment of time?

Did you reinstall windows? When you change out a motherboard a general rule of thumb is to reinstall the OS. Do you have the latest BIOS update for the motherboard? How about the driver packages from the support page of the new motherboard? What programs do you have on the startup tab in task manager? Do you have fast boot enabled? What were the specs of the system before the upgrade?

With expo enabled you will have longer than normal loading times. This is due to the memory training that takes place upon power up. With EXPO off, loading times are better, but no EXPO. With it enabled, it's about 1 minute from button press to Windows.

BTW: I just bought that same bundle. My buddy also bought the same kit. Be sure to update to latest BIOS. Also, my PC would not even boot with EXPO enabled, I had to manually set EVERY single RAM parameter. My buddies had no such issue....strange.

Are you able to run me through how to update it ?
Its usually pretty simple. BIOS updates can be a bit fragile, so make sure you have reliable power to the PC while the update is in progress and make sure that the PC does not turn off in the process of the BIOS update. In the link I provided download the latest BIOS version at the top. Rename the file according to what it says on the page with the BIOS downloads. Put the renamed file onto a flash drive that has nothing else on it. Plug that into the front of the PC. Restart into BIOS and find the BIOS update tool, it may be called Ez Flash. You then start that up and select the USB device you have plugged into the front of the PC to start the update. The Updater will run until complete. Under no condition allow the PC to be turned off while this update is in progress. After the update is finished make sure that the PC is shut off and Clear CMOS. If you need help with that let me know.

I will add that the PC will reboot once initially and then a second time during the flashing process. Wait until it's fully finished!!
