Hi Everyone,

I'm a little bit new to this so I apologize in advance if I'm missing any information but I've been having an issue everytime my windows 10 tries to update. Every time it attempts to install an update, it seems to crash and I have to restore my computer.

I get this error: Page Fault in NONPAGED AREA and what failed is: nvlddmkm.sys.

I've been browsing the forum for solutions and I saw some suggestions that I should try and install the driver for my graphics card directly from the NVIDIA site. I've tried to do that and it fails in the NVIDIA installer as well.

My Graphics card is a NVIDA Quadro NVS 450 (and there are 2 of them). I'm running a 64 bit Windows 10. Please let me know if any more information is needed.

Any help is appreciated!

What are specs of the PC?

Can you follow option one on the following link - here - and then do this step below: Small memory dumps - Have Windows Create a Small Memory Dump (Minidump) on BSOD - that creates a file in c windows/minidump after the next BSOD

  1. Open Windows File Explore
  2. Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump
  3. Copy the mini-dump files out onto your Desktop
  4. Do not use Winzip, use the built in facility in Windows
  5. Select those files on your Desktop, right click them and choose 'Send to' - Compressed (zipped) folder
  6. Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox . . . etc.)
  7. Then post a link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you . . .

So I actually never get a BSOD. My computer will work normally except when it tries to do regular Windows 10 update. That update will fail, my computer wont turn on without powering on and then just going black until I have to restore it to before the install point. During that process is when I get the page that says something went wrong and tells me the the file I mentioned.

Just wanted to make sure I clarified that if I wasn't clear in my original message. Given that, do you still want me to follow those steps?

Thanks for the help and attention so far!
