Windows XP Professional x64 or Vista 64 bit? Which is better 4 gaming?


Hello Guys........

Please help me to choose the right one for gaming.......!!!!!!!!!!!!


I am an extreme gamer and loves playing games.......

My recent game finished was MASS EFFECT 3

which i played on windows 7 x64 bit with AMD RADEON HD 6770 1 GB DDR5 (Powecolour.....)


I would like to know that which OS is best for me...??????????????????

In addition to this, it really doesn't make a lot of sense to go Backwards a generation for an operating system unless there is a specific reason not to. Vista was the reason to stick with XP and Windows 7 was the reason to SKIP vista, so that should tell you something.

I have played FIFA 12 on windows 7 and same FIFA 12 on vista ultimate x86
and saw a drastic difference in shadows lighings and colours....and gived better colours on the screen when i played on Windows 7 x64 bit......

Is that due to the lated directx version with windows 7......?

Are you comparing XP to Vista or 7 to Vista?

In any case, I would not recommend you going with XP x64. Basically, it is x64 in its infancy: poor driver support, incompatibilities, etc.

7 is better than Vista. Period.
