XP is the only MS OS that I have bought that was actually worth a damn. I did not buy Windows 2000 for the record though, was still dealing with that crappy Winders 98.
 
I have never bought an OS. It's not as if MS need the money!

at this point if you still hate ms os, you have other issues other than problems with the os itself. you will likely never like any os called microsoft windows so you might as well suffer like all the other linux heads.

I immediately liked it when I ran it, even the choice of default wallpaper.

Here we found that it ran the computers more smoothly than Windows XP - take that however you want, even with a grain of salt .. but that was the impression.

Not all the software that runs on WinXP will run on WinServer. Some will detect the version then refuse, even if you use the compatibility mode. Most stuff does just fine though.

My brother simply does not get lock-ups with WinServer, whereas he would get a very rare one with WinXP Home original. Here I'm trying to recall but ..
