I have to go wireless for a few months (10) and I need some help making do. I did not have much time to shop so I went got a Cisco Linksys Wireless-N Range/Extender Bridge (RE1000) http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2399489,00.asp. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124430

I liked that I could use it as an adapter now and later use it an an extender for my wife's wireless needs once we move to a larger place (We in a temporary place that I dont want to spend money installing a wired set up in my makeshift office.

I was able to Play Battlefield 3 but I was not really too happy. I moved the adapter as close to the router and the performance went from not playable to ok/good.

Now that I have had some time I am thinking of returning the the device and I am looking for feedback. I have two items I am looking at that I hope will do better:

1. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833314090
BELKIN E9L7500 Dual Band Wireless It is cheaper but it would have limited reuse after I move.

2. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833320112
ASUS EA-N66 Dual-Band Wireless-N900 It costs a bit more but also have a reuse value as an extender.

3. Open to alternatives

Feedback please.
