Wireless 'Bridge'?

I'm looking to add more devices to my network, to clarify I'll explain how it is now.

I have a Netgear Router upstairs that connects to the internet and connects with a wired connection to the computers that happen to be next to it. But we also have a computer connected to the TV downstairs. This connects with a Netgear Wi-Fi dongle (just, the connection strength is low).

Also downstairs with the TV we have a Blu-Ray player, a Sky+HD box and a Wii. The Wii also connects to the wireless connection, but it's a pain to update whenever I change the WPA key.

Since the Blu-Ray box would benefit from internet access, and Sky might decide to use the Ethernet in the future, I thought that it would be useful to get some kind of 'Wireless Bridge'. By that I mean a device that will be always-on and connect to the wireless network provided by the router, and extend it to an Ethernet connection to which I can plug in the existing computer as well as everything else. (The Wii has an adapter for Ethernet, I'd prefer it connected to another device to handle the Wi-Fi so I can more easily change the WPA key.)

What devices are there like this? And is this a good way of adding these devices to my network?

Another thing you can do is take an ethernet cord from your computer and string it down near the wireless items that are out of range and attach a wireless access point, its basically just the wireless function of your router but you can put it anywhere and it will connect just like a wireless router, but u cannot connect wired to it.
