Hi,
I'm looking to cut the last cord that is still anchoring me to the XBox --
the Live Communicator headset.
I've used several (wired) headsets with the Communicator, so I'm assuming
pretty much anything that can use a mini-plug should work fine. One of the
headsets I have used with the Communicator didn't have a mini-plug, but
after going through a converter it worked just fine. The Logitech wireless
headset, I'm sure, works great -- but I'd like to purchase something along
the lines of:
- 900 Mhz. Got too much 2.4 Ghz (802.11g/b) and 5 Ghz (802.11a) going into
the air as it is. I had a cordless phone that played havoc with the
802.11g/b that I've since parted with. If the Logitech XBox wireless
headset operated at 900 Mhz, I'd just settle with that.
- Rechargable, of course. A recharging cradle would be nice as well.
- Comfortable. Not one of those chinsy "cell phone headsets", but solid,
sturdy, large well-padded speakers, etc.
- The tranceiver for the headset would obviously just have to be something
relatively small that just simply plugs into a mini-plug connection. I'm
using Pelican wireless controllers, which the Communicator would plug into
it's base unit. The tranceiver for the headset would plug in from there.
Googles show a wide range (and wide range of prices) for headsets with the
above criteria. Anyone using something along these lines with the XBox that
they've been very pleased with? I'm willing to spend upwards of $140.
Thanks!
