I have been experiencing this issue for the past couple months now. I have the following setup:
-Ziggo ISP in the Netherlands, which is a 500/50 Mbps connection.
-ISP modem/router connected through ethernet with another ISP provided router set up as access point in the floor above. 2 wired connections from the access point to computers.

The wired internet has been functioning perfectely with no issues, but the wireless internet does have an issue where the internet will simply stop working until I turn the wifi in my phones/tablets off and on again. The signal strength is excellent throughout the entire house. Speedtests also give excellent results.
I have already tried the following:
  • Only used the wireless signal of the ISP modem/router at ground floor, disabling the other
  • Only used the wireless signal of the ISP access point at the first floor, disabling the other
  • Changed the channel various times between 1,6,11 depending on neighbourhood channel saturation
  • Changed the bandwidth to 20, 40 and 20/40 mhz
  • Only used the 2.4ghz connection since I don't have line of sight of the routers
  • Tested the devices while having line of sight
  • Increased the DHCP lease time to 24 hours
  • Turned off the modem firewall
  • Changed the DNS settings on several devices to google instead of the default from the ISP
  • Set fixed IP adresses for devices and the access point
  • Changed the 802.11bgn between various options

I don't know what else there is to do or what my issue even is exactly. So hopefully the tom's hardward forum can help me figure this out

Solution
I appear to have found the solution, as it was a really dumb oversight.

I had the DHCP settings configured to a pool starting at 192.168.178.10 up to 192.16.178.255, while setting the maximum amount of devices still to 255 instead of 245 which may have caused the issue. Thanks for the help though!

My first thought is an IP address conflict.

Go to each device and note its' static or DHCP IP address.

On a wired computer and on a wireless computer run "ipconfig /all" (without quotes) via the Command Prompt and post the results.

Also run and post the results of "arp -a".

Look at the ISP provided modem/router and your router and access point - post the applicable make and model information.

Access the router's admin pages - there is likely some listing of connected devices - ensure that you recognize all of the devices by name or MAC. No missing devices or "extra" devices.

Make yourself a simple network diagram showing devices, connectivity, IP addresses and MAC's.

Just to help with being able to see the "big picture".

(Note: you do not need to have line of sight for/to use 5 Ghz. But do not start making any frequency or channel changes.)

Alright, I don't see any missing or external IP adresses in the connected devices list.
As for the model itself I can't find much more than 'Ziggo Connect Box' by Compal and 'Ziggo Wifibooster'. The admin page for the access point is completely shielded and I can only change wifi related settings.
