Hey guys, I cant believe there isnt another forum on the internet discussing this already... but My wireless network disappeared a couple minutes ago. its does this everytime i try to join a network. it fails, then disapears. Im currently on the network that Im trying to access wirelessly. I dont understand what is going on. I was having slow connections with 1 wireless card, and then i got this one, which sort of worked well (still not as well as my laptop) but semi well for about a year. are all desktop wireless cards just garbage now? i spent alot of money on this one and it cant even hold a signal for longer than 3 seconds.... it sees all the other wireless networks just fine but not mine anymore... is there some weird setting on the card that i need to change or something? ive tried resetting the router multiple times and had no luck. I dont know what to do. thanks for anything you guy might be able to provide. I hate asking for help but im gonna throw the computer out the window if this goes on for another second.

Solution
It really sounds like it is currently set up to channel bond, you should get a copy of the manual and determine how to set it to use a single channel. In some routers it is just using a setting for 145Mb rather than 300Mb speed.
Ok, so i was wrong. There was no setting to check 300 or not 300. What I was seeing earlier was the "max rate" section in the program inSSIDer that said my max rate was 300, and I thought that was weird because all the other networks in my neighborhood were a max rate of 144. What I did find though, was a setting in the advanced section of the router that was allowing 20/40 Mhz for the channel bandwith and I switched that to a manual 20Mhz. So I think that will fix my problem! Thank you so much! That program inSSIDer is great btw, Im not sure I would have ever been able to figure this out without it or your help!
