I'm going to create a wireless home network between a Gateway 800 Mhz with
Windows 98 SE (desktop), and 2 laptops, one with 98SE, the other with XP
(home). Which brand(s) of equipment do you recommend? I assume I should go
with 802.11g and equipment with WPA. For the desktop, do you recommend an
internal PCI adapter or a USB adapter? Thanks for any help.

Almost all 802.11a/b/g equipment will interoperate just fine.

If you have USB 2.0, you can go with either USB or PCI. If you have 1.1, go
with a PCI adapter.
