Wireless switch is on but no network available in dell

Hello,
In my laptop wireless switch is on but no network available in dell studio 1745

is it working properly, check in device manager, look for any exclamation or question marks next to hardware list.?
un-install and then reboot unit, upon booting it will re-install.
check another unit and see if it detects any networks.
depending on results of above you might need to reset wireless access point..
