Next time buy it from the likes of amazon. For 200$ you can get Nexus 7, which is like an iPad, but with UI that allows so much more, than dumb icon grids.

[citation][nom]slayer257[/nom]I believe the proper English would be become more stupid, but hey I'm only an American. At least our we don't forget our kids at the pub like a certain prime minister, just run "political smear campaigns....."This is an old post. News has gotten shabby around here lately. Morale of the story is turn it on before you buy it.[/citation]

Moral of the story - if you're going to correct someone's English, don't boost there morale by putting in a blooper of your own.

(Unless you want to. I included a freebie for you. ;o)

Jalonta: "Aaaah....good point! Here's the money. Nice mask by the way. Bye"

Seller (walking away, rapidly increasing speed): "wtf! 8 today!...dum dum dum darumdum dum dumdum"

Well, serves them right for being stupid. How could you be stupid enough to not even check the contents of the box before handing over your money?

Resposting CNet articles from 3 weeks ago as tech news - if this is (tech) journalism, it's an easy job. Tom's, are you hiring new writers? I flunked out of high school language arts; I think I have the necessary qualifications.

Man the stupidity of people. Although I am not the least surprised, I see lack of common sense everywhere. The vast majority of people are clueless drones and followers who can't think for themselves. If this country ever truly goes into financial hardship there will be chaos (last recession was a total joke, ask the old folks who went through the depression what hard times were). Most people can't even provide for themselves, hunt, fish, grow a garden, etc. When hell breaks lose at some point people in cities will be the first to get wiped out.

WOW, how about that for a rambling and totally off-subject rant? Vote me up if you love it!

I would have to check the device, test it out for a few minutes, look for problems, etc. Just WOW.

But if you live anywhere NEAR a city, keep in mind that they will pour out of the city once it has been depleted of its resources. If you live in the middle of nowhere, you won't have this problem, but it also means you're isolated and could eventually end up like those ranches in Arizona near the Mexico border. I like something kind of somewhere in the middle.

[citation][nom]kellybean[/nom]The new Obama economy, was the mirror union made?[/citation]
Don't be stupid. If it was union made the iMirror would have sold for $300.

All jokes aside, if the iPad itself was made by union workers in the US, it would probably add another $200 to the cost. Assuming we could produce enough units. To quote Futurama, "Scruffy's on break."

Apple makes ~50% profit, not counting software costs, from the iPad while it is made in China. If it were made here by union workers, it would cost $200 more and Apple might make $5 profit. They'd never be able to pay their developers.

Now, now... maybe the rectangular shape, rounded corners, and shiny appearance confused her. Given those aspects, many people would confuse it with an iPad. Just ask Apple.

Their profit margin would shrink (as a percentage at the least), but there's no way they'd sell it at a "$5 profit". A $500 unit would cost $700 now.

Although, even if they DID sell it at a thinner margin (maybe not $5, but something like $50-100), they'd still be able to "pay their developers" since they get a cut of everything you buy for your iDevices - apps, games, movies/TV, music, books, etc. But they wouldn't be the profit monster they are now.

Edit: In case you're confused, I wasn't advocating for a union-built iPad. Quite the opposite.
