http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tHPzwP I'm wondering if i can cut down on a bit of things, I'm wanting a PC that can play something like the Witcher 3 (Still having it look beautiful). I'm not 100% sure on my budget but i know i need to cut down a little, I'll end up buying a keyboard, as i use a laptop currently, I've got a old monitor lying around i can use that isn't too bad... But i want to know if there's anything here i can cut down on to lesser the price at least a little bit. Also the optical drive is there for convenience, If need be i can take one out of an old PC that no one uses anymore, so that's not a big deal if you remove it. And yes i need a WiFi adapter and OS. Thanks for your help.

I would say you can cut to the i5-4690 or even 4460. The i7 won't do much more for you for gaming. Since you're not overclocking the stock cooler will be fine so you can get rid of the 212 Evo. Also since you're not overclocking you can get a good H97 board that should be cheaper. 2x4GB RAM should be fine; you shouldn't need 16GB right now for gaming. With a 280x you should get ca. 30 fps at 1080p ultra (https://youtu.be/ZZ-rivimJcg). I would put a better PSU (http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html).

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($217.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H97-D3H ATX LGA1150...

if you're not doing video editing or recording/streaming (i.e. just gaming), then an i5 and 8GB will do.
also, you don't need more than 600 watts, but go for a better brand, xfx or seasonic. there's a psu tier list somewhere on toms.

for the witcher 3 you need a good GPU and CPU for max settings, (The CPU is overkill (it will bottleneck) for you build.

Perhapse it is a great choice for video editing) and a 300+ GPU. That means you need around 500W+ PSU look for a PSU that has the 500 continuous watt feature or a 600W (80%+ certified).

For your desktop memory, you dont need 16Gb, but i recommand 16Gb, this is a nice investment for the future.

Final thing, send me a e-mail i'll show you something to save 90$ on your build. (louis.collin1996@gmail.com)

Yeah, i've got 2 old pcs i'm going to have to go through, however not sure if anything in them is up to date enough, i may be able to reuse the case and optical drive but i'll have to go through it.
